Koi’s Poopy Weekend
It was a long weekend up in Ka-nuh-dah (Friday off) and I got to spend some extra cuddlin’ time with the furry baby. Unfortunately - she had a couple of rather…smelly incidents. On a walk this weekend around the local high school, one of the local crows decided to exact their revenge by pooping on her back! Uh-oh!
Unscheduled pit stop at mom’s for an emergency clean-up.
She knew something was amiss, but I didn’t let her stop until we got inside.
And today! We were in Stanley Park for a picnic and unfortunately the grass was covered in goose poop! And guess who decided to take a nice long roll in it? Yup. Furry, STINKY, baby.
Cue a very thorough bath as soon as we got home - about a week early than scheduled.
I am hoping to avoid non-Koi poop events for the rest of the summer!
*note: we have noticed that crows will pick up food scraps (meat bones, most likely from the park across the street which hosts a good variety of small picnics), clean and RINSE them in our pond and leave them out on the flat rocks to dry. Guess who can’t resist some freshly cleaned chicken bones right in front of the door?! One day my mom had enough and picked up all the scraps - much to the crows’ chagrin.
