Koi dislikes it when I exercise at home. I suppose she’d prefer me to take her out for a run instead! But when I roll out the mat and heave out the dumbbells, she starts to whine and has on occasion barked at me! I did some pre-game (GO CANUCKS!) yoga and as I rolled my yoga mat out, she eyed me suspiciously and kept her distance. As I did my sun salutations I closed my eyes and when I looked between my legs, there she was - right at the foot of my mat, with only her tail casually resting on my mat. Funny girl.
After I was done and rolled up my mat, I picked up her favourite cat toy and waggled it in front of her. To my surprise, she threw down a Downward Dog for me, and stayed there for a full minute! Trying to one-up me I suppose!
But can she do a Twisting Chair Pose?
